President Uemura attended the Business Forum and CEO Roundtable held in conjunction with the Indonesian President's visit to Japan

President Uemura joined Prabowo Subianto’s Japan visit, highlighting Japan-Indonesia business ties and KMI’s CO2-to-methanol CCU project.

From March 29th to 31st, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto visited Japan.

On the 30th, the "Japan-Indonesia Business Forum," hosted by JETRO, was held, and President Uemura attended. At the forum, KMI (PT Kaltim Methanol Industri)'s CCU (Carbon Capture and Utilization) project was introduced as one of the joint projects between the two countries.

This project involves KMI utilizing CO2 emitted from an adjacent fertilizer plant as a methanol raw material, and is attracting attention as a demonstration project of waste monetization.

Furthermore, at a symposium within the forum, Mr. Itagaki, President of Sojitz Indonesia, gave a presentation on the possibilities of business between Japan and Indonesia.

On the 31st, a CEO roundtable was held with President Prabowo, and President Uemura attended. At the roundtable, Sojitz introduced its business to President Prabowo and exchanged views on future business expansion in both countries.
